Sometimes you just don’t feel like going out or doing anything on a Saturday night other than lying in bed watching a movie. These movies might not be specific to one genre but they usually have one thing in common, they are easy to watch. These new posts are recommendations for easy to watch movies that you might enjoy on your Saturday night in.
This week’s recommendation is The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
Recommendation: I am a massive fan of a lot of Guy Ritchie’s work, I know that he has had some missteps along the way but The Man from U.N.C.L.E. is not one of them. You may not have heard of this movie, because it flew under most people’s radars but it is definitely worth checking out. It is a fun Cold War spy movie with two great actors in Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer, in a fictitious event that sees the KGB and CIA team up to combat a group of NAZIs. This odd couple action comedy is full of hilarious moments that poke fun at the Cold War era as well as some awesome action set pieces. Whilst not as good as Ritchie’s take on Sherlock Holmes, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. is definitely worth checking out on a Saturday night in.
Synopsis: In the early 1960s, CIA agent Napoleon Solo and KGB operative Illya Kuryakin participate in a joint mission against a mysterious criminal organization, which is working to proliferate nuclear weapons.

This was a fun one. I didn’t think it was a good role for Alicia Vikander. But Henry Cavill really steals the show!

I think this was before people knew the talent of Alicia Vikander. The movie should have done better. I think both leads steal the show.

This was certainly not a bad movie. Henry Cavill was pretty awesome in this one, and it was fun to seem tackle a bit of a different role than usual. There were also some pretty funny scenes in the movie. All in all just a fun watch 😀

Henry Cavill is fantastic in this, so is Armie Hammer. Yeah you’re right it’s a very fun movie. That’s the point of my Saturday Night Recommendations is to recommend fun movies that people can watch and have a good time. Thanks for the comment.
